Role Responsibilities:
Burntsand Account Managers are responsible for managing, retaining and expanding major client relationships. Account Managers are involved in all aspects of the sales lifecycle, including initiating and maintaining client relationships, qualifying leads and opportunities, working with internal resources to ensure an integrated approach to customer solutions, and closing opportunities for new business while ensuring customer satisfaction. A successful Account Manager will develop a level of expertise of the firm's offerings and associated strategies and help identify how these solutions might solve customer business issues. You will:
- Manage all account relationships within an assigned portfolio. This includes negotiating contracts needed to meet retention and consulting goals.
- Act as transaction process consultant for clients providing alternative process solutions and options.
- Identify improvements to existing systems, and opportunities for new solutions and services.
- Develop and implement educational or other programs designed to improve client's solution adoption and satisfaction
Role Requirements:
- Proven ability to open new accounts through a variety of new business development tactics and establish long-term partnerships with key contacts at existing and new clients
- Experienced in working with technology partners (joint account planning, joint sales pursuits)
- Min 5 years Account Management - proven ability to drive new revenue in accounts by building relationships with key players and decision makers
- Penetrating prospect accounts at the highest level within those accounts
- Consulting Services Sales background - Practice based sales experience helpful
- Follow frameworks, but know when to diverge from them
- Team Selling - Can quarterback and drive a sales pursuit team
- An understanding of information technology solutions and the Solution Selling methodology are critical to success in this role
- Strong Professional Services/Consulting sales experience with a focus on Project based business (not Staff Augmentation) in the Healthcare, Government, Financial Services, Life Sciences, or Biotechnology sectors
- Experience in Enterprise Wide Integration and Development of business solutions
- Familiarity with Service Management and Operations, Business Intelligence, Enterprise Content Management, Collaboration, Custom Application Development
- Well-developed relationships in Edmonton area
- Solid experience making presentations to large groups of people
- Experience dealing with difficult situations
- Excellent time management skills
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal as well as presentation skills
- Bachelors Degree required, preferably an MBA
